After a week of imposing this expectation on students, Elliot gave students an exam to see how they would perform knowing these prejudices. In a replication study conducted in 2019, the mean exam score of blue - eyed students was known to be M = 80. The following table shows scores for 15 brown - eyed students who participated in the experiment.
