In 2023, Jane commenced proceedings in the Supreme Court for an injury she received from falling over in a car park of the local shopping centre. She broke her leg and fractured her wrist. By the time the trial came around, judge alone, she was better with no medical issues relating to the injury caused at the shopping centre. On the final day of the trial, barristers for Jane and also the car park were giving final submissions and Jane fainted. She was taken immediately to the emergency department where it was found that she had a stroke. It is not clear whether the stroke is caused by the fall in the car park or something else.
