In a recent article from CNN, Jamie Gumbrecht discuses how the "US government announces plan to overhaul organ transplant system" (CNN, 2023). The system of organ transplantation has always been managed by the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS). In recent times, The US Department of Health and Human Services (HRSA)has been tasked with the job to improve the system. Currently, UNOS has been criticized for their handling of organs, the long wait lists, and the number of deaths of people on this wait list (CNN, 2023)
