A force of 0.3 kN is applied at the one end of the lever. The line of action of the normal reaction force everted by the brake drum on the block is 300 mm from the center of the fulcrum. The angle of contact of the block on the brake drum is 45° and the coefficient of friction is 0.25. Find out the braking torque if
(i) The line of action of the frictional force passes through a point at a distance of 25 mm below the center of the fulcrum.
(ii) The line of action of the frictional force passes through a point at a distance of 25 mm above the center of the fulcrum.
(iii)The line of action of the frictional force passes through the center of the fulcrum.
