In a view paragraphs compare the types of social dilemmas, and how they differ from one another?

In negotiations, our outcomes depend on the actions of others. The situation that results when people engage in behaviors that maximize self-interest but lead to collective disaster such as a bidding war, greenhouse gases, or negative campaigning is a social dilemma. In this chapter we discuss several kinds of social dilemmas including the prisoner's dilemma, the ultimatum dilemma, the dictator game, the trust dilemma, the volunteer dilemma, multiparty dilemmas, and the escalation dilemma. Each of these dilemmas depicts a real-world situation that might face a negotiator, such as in the opening example. In each of these dilemmas, people are faced with choices to trust in others or a situation and risk being potentially exploited. We discuss how dilemmas may be effectively handled by individuals, teams, and even countries.
