In Chapter 4, we learned a great deal about Capitalism, the criticisms of Capitalism, and the challenges created by Capitalism in the modern world. The company that seems to embody all of these problems and criticisms is Walmart. While many of us probably shop at Walmart, most of us are also probably generally unhappy with Walmart's business practices and the effect it is having on our society. What do you guys think? As you discuss Walmart, be sure to discuss larger issues concerning the relationship between Government and private business. Should the two entities be entirely separate from one another? Should the Government regulate business? To what degree? Why is redistribution of wealth from the poor to the rich considered capitalism?
