In Chapter 9, you read about unemployment and the Labor Market. Nationally, the unemployment rate has been high because of a struggling economy due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. Some of you are already working in the career area of your choice. You are taking classes/pursuing a degree with the goal of progressing or putting yourself in position to advance in your career area. Others are taking classes/pursing a degree with the goal of entering into their career area of choice now or after graduation. Regardless of what situation you are in, think about and respond to the following question(s): After conducting some research, how strong/stable do you believe the labor market is in your chosen career area (before Covid 19)? Your response should include the following:

a. What is your chosen career area? (if you can be specific, be specific.)

b. How great is the need for individuals to work in your career area? (ex. the number of plumbers have been in decline so there is a need for individuals in this career area as well as some of the other vocations. You may need to do a quick search to find some info)

c. What amount of opportunities do you currently see to either enter or advance in this chosen career area? (you may need to do a quick search to look at the number (estimated) entry level and advanced level jobs opportunities available in this chosen area)

d. Are the opportunities in your chosen career area specific to a few localized areas of the country or are the opportunities available all across the country/world? (you may need to do a quick search to gather some information)

e. Based on your responses to those questions above, How strong/stable do you believe the labor market is in your chosen career area?
