In early 2009, the economy was experiencing a recession. How did the recession affect the stock market? To examine this question a day trader, Fa S. Talker, looked at 15 companies whose stock he found interesting. For each of the 15 companies Fa S. Talker gathered the closing stock price for 2 different days. The first day selected was before the start of the recession (January 1^st 2005 ); the second day was in the depths of the recession (April 30^th 2009).
