In finance, stock refers to all of the shares into which a company's ownership is divided. Stock exchanges allow for the trading of stocks, and such transactions are typically strictly controlled by governments to prevent fraud, protect investors, and improve the general economy. Stock trading is a type of investment that allows your money to grow at a faster rate than it would in a traditional savings account. It does not, however, guarantee profitable returns, and it is critical to grasp the principles of investing to optimize rewards while limiting risk. As a personal investor, you are choosing which stocks or shares of the four firms (Sonic, Edify, Altec, and Athlon) are more attractive based on descriptive statistical analysis. The stock returns from 1998 to 2021 are given to help you in making that decision. Instructions You are required to complete the following tasks: Task 1 Select any TWO firms from the dataset (provided in the last page of this assignment). > Task 2 By using appropriate measures of central tendency (mean, mode, median), compute and interpret the central values of the stock returns for both firms. Support your findings with appropriate chart(s)/graph(s). Task 3 By using appropriate measures of dispersion (variance, standard deviation, coefficient of variation), compute and interpret the variability of stock returns for both firms. Task 4 By constructing a 5-summary values table, draw the boxplot for both firms. Identify if there are any outliers in the data and the shape of the distribution. Table 1. 5-Summary Values Table for Firm 1 and Firm 2 Platform 1 Platform 2 Minimum Maximum 25th Percentile 50th Percentile 75th Percentile
