In full scan ms, all mass numbers within a larger area are measured. Due to the fact that a large number of mass numbers are measured, the measurement time per mass number is short. This leads to a relatively poor signal-to-noise ratio and worse detection limits than SIM and MRM.

I don't understand, why does a shorter measurement-time per mass number lead to poorer signal-to-noise ratio and worse detection limit? Please explain thoroughly so that i understand.
