In FY2014, nationwide the mean incarceration sentence length for drug offenses was 77.6 months (table 5.4). However, males served a mean sentence length of 81.3 months. Assuming a standard deviation of 11 months (figure 2) from a study of 1112 cases, test the claim that males serve sentences that are equal to the national mean of 77.6 months using = .05.
