In general, the criminal justice system is designed to accomplish the following objectives: controlling crime; preventing crime; and providing and maintaining justice. Different institutions are involved in the efforts to accomplish these objectives, including law enforcement organizations, the courts, probation, corrections, and parole. Identify and describe what you believe are the three (3) greatest issues facing the criminal justice system.
