Calvin sold the marble tablet to Edrish for $250. When Calvin returned to the United Kingdom in August 2022 he was stopped by Fawna, a Customs and Excise officer, who searched his luggage. Fawna found the copper head and is considering prosecuting Calvin.
Under Iraqi law it is illegal to export objects more than 100 years old without the relevant export documents.
