In June 2018 Kevin, Maryam and Janet had finally saved enough money to buy a flat together as co-owners in London, and they contributed equally to the purchase price. Title was registered in their joint names. Janet disliked the carpets throughout the flat, so she used her savings to buy new carpets and asked the others to contribute to the cost, but they refused to do so.
