In Kampala, Uganda. James recently opened a washing bay (Bay) that opens daily at 7:00am. In the adjoining premises, Helen has for the last 10 years organized early morning mediation and yoga sessions but complains that her work is badly affected by the noise from the Bay. In addition, the queue of cars waiting in line for the Bay makes access difficult for residents owning other premises along the street.On 4th April Rabadaba discovered that he had mislaid his bedroom keys and returned to the Bay to collect them. Unknown to Rabadaba, James' 5 vicious guard dogs had been brought to the Bay for the night and as soon as he entered the Bay. Two of the guard dogs rushed up to Rabadaba and bit him before being seized by their handler. Rabadaba sustained bites and scratches all over his body. On the night of 10th May,a group of disgruntled residents climbed over the fence and entered the Bay; blocked the water supply to the washing machines and opened the safety valves on the water tanks and detergent supplies. The water and detergent seeped into and flooded Beth's Bakery destroying Machines, stock and other property worth UGX 30,000,000/=. Beth's security guard sustained injuries and has, since the incident been admitted at Mulago hospital. M/s Kiwoko Drainers were contracted to drain Beth's Bakery but advised not to commence work until the heaters are switched off. Carly entered the bakery while the heaters were on and began to drain the water. She died as a result of an electric shock.
