In logistics and supply chain management, track and trace is the process of determining the specific current location of a shipment or an individual package out of a shipment. Italso provides information on the past locations of the shipment or package. To facilitate tracking and tracing, the logistics service provider would offer visibility services to "follow" the movement of the outbound or inbound shipment until it reaches the final destination. Customers can get either real-time information about the shipment through online applications, or periodic updates through proactive notification reports.

We need to address the contributions of track and trace technology in the logistics industry. Relevant resources and proper citations are needed. Your essay should persuasively muster arguments and evidence in support of your answer to this question. It should cover various dimensions of the idea of supply chain information management and technologies as seen in our course, such as:

(a) Show the operational issues which can be resolved after appropriately introducing track

and trace devices.

Describe the background, target customer, as well as core competencies of the organisation in the logistics industry.

operational performance of the selected organisation.
