In my opinion, when planning a course of action, all criteria must be met in order to have a successful outcome. The commander's basic goal while setting direction is to establish and accomplish the purpose and job. A successful completed mission for the commander is completing the mission's purpose and task. Completing the mission on time with the space and resources available is also crucial, as it is a priority to complete the mission on time, or complications may arise if the given time is not reached. Adequate costs in staff, equipment, position, or time are also important because you don't want to go in and lose a lot of money without succeeding. A course of action that looks to have lost far more than it gained demonstrates that environmental awareness and other crucial observations that should have been made were not made. The COA that is different from the others may not be the one you wish to take; but, in order to complete all objectives, the course of action must keep all tasks in mind
