In my Stats 701 class I am being asked to Estimate the risk associated with smoking for having an infant with a low birth weight (< 2500g).. The study is involving smoker versus non smoker Moms and the frequency of low birth weight babies. It is a case control study. I am trying to find the appropriate way to interpret the risk factors. The OR is 1.77 and the RR is 1.77.
Is this just shown by the relative risk (which was 1.66) and the OR?( which was 1.77) Can you help explain what the risk difference would be? Thank you
