SMART Goals

The purpose of this memo is to provide SMART criteria (Campbell, 2021) for the Balanced Scorecard for TransGlobal Airlines and move toward a determination on acquisition of Airline A and/or Airline B (Sokolas, n.d.). Using the TransGlobal 2030 vision, to lead the industry in three critical areas: Safety, Excitement, and Stewardship (SES) principles and goals (Sokolas, n.d.)

Financial:

By expanding the fleet of regional aircraft with capacities below 70 by 2030(Sokolas, n.d.). After acquisition of an additional airline(s) we will be able to evaluate ourreturn on investment (ROI) to determine our profitability of the acquisition (Kaplan,2009).

Internal process:

By accelerating the adoption of fuel-efficient aircraft and alternative

fuels, we will protect our planet and reach net-zero carbon footprint by 2075 (Sokolas,

n.d.). Additionally, we will address workplace inequalities and build an inclusive culture,

helping us to achieve top-10 status in the 2030 World's Best Workplaces rankings

(Sokolas, n.d.). Using the KPI for economic value added (EVA) to measure financial

performance based on the residual wealth calculated by deducting the cost of capital from

operating profit, adjusted for taxes based on the cash basis (Kaplan, 2009).
