In order to raise funds and connect well to the business community, Interdisciplinary Business Student Organization (IBSO) holds an all- day seminar each semester with notable area speakers covering current initiatives in accounting, marketing, management, technology, and finance. The number of business professionals who attended the last seminar was 125. Fixed costs were $9,000. IBSO charged attendees $120 each and the variable costs were $30 per person
