In qualitative research, ethical issues are particularly important because the researcher is often in a position of power and has access to sensitive information. It is important to consider possible ethical issues when undertaking qualitative research, as the interpretation of the data and the conclusions are more subjective. My study is GQI-designed and, as such, focuses on the well-being and rights of study participants and on preventing any harm to them. To maintain research ethics, my study will follow the Belmont Report's guidelines (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services I will seek the approval of Capella Universitys Institutional Review Board before data collection and participant recruitment begins. Ethical issues specific to my study are as follows:

1.Topic sensitivity.My research requires the insights of child-free individuals.Childlessness can be a contentious and sensitive subject. Therefore, the study excludes those who want children but cannot have them, seeking to gain info from participants who intentionally chose not to have or rear children biologically, adopted, or otherwise.

2.Researcher-participant relationship.Using a third-party research recruitment agency to gain access to the targeted population will ensure there is not a preexisting relationship with its targeted audience.

3.Transcription accuracy.The recordings will be validated for transcription accuracy and sent to each participant for concurrence. Each participant will have 48 hours to respond with corrections or additions to the transcriptions.

3.Respect for persons.Respect for persons necessitates that participants in my study participate freely and with sufficient understanding. Every participant will be provided a consent form outlining the studys purpose and emphasizing voluntary participation.

4.No harm caused to participants.In light of potential harm, my study will be constructed to ensure participant anonymity and implement strict information security measures. Anonymity will be secured through coding (i.e., P1, P2), and all electronic data will be encrypted and password-protected during storage and transport.

5.Credibility, reliability, dependability, and transferability.The completion of prolonged engagement in qualitative methodology courses investigating the methodology, data collection, design, and data analysis used throughout this study will secure the researcher's credibility in training and experience. The researcher will provide in-depth, comprehensive narratives of the participants' experiences and viewpoints and plans to present discrepant information that runs counter to the studys themes. Dependability will be established through a detailed explanation regarding the researchers position on the topic, the basis for selecting participants, the context of the study, and any values or assumptions that might affect data collection. The researcher will take steps to ensure transferability through detailed, rich descriptions of the findings, procedures, and research setting.
