In response to your peers, choose a different focal point than the one you chose for yourself, and elaborate on how your peers' choice of focal point could be relevant to you. What do you think you could learn from these students' perspective?
Hi everyone and Professor Sasaran. My name is Jennifer. I am from NC. My major is Creative Writing. The focal point I am writing about is music. Music calms me down when I'm stressed and even when I'm upset. Music has changed over the last fifty years. Disco was popular in the 1970s. Although hard rock and soft rock were around during this time, fans weren't happy with the way they were going. Soft rock became softer, hard rock became harder which irritated fans. Fans ditched the standard musical forms so they decided to make their own music. For instance, funk, disco, punk, and the new-wave music, this transformation was magnificent. Music in the 1980s was different than in the 1970s. For example, a piece of writing of words of music had more deepness and diverseness relative to its style. The bands and lead singers who performed were exceptional. The 1980s was during a time when dance-able, Pop music as well as Techno sounds were trendy. Also, hair bands and the start of Rap. Literature is the most challenging for me. I don't understand Shakespeare. Poems can be a challenge for me also.
