While Operations Management and Project Management have many issues and procedures to deal with, these two entities need to lean and understand how their operations work. Operations Management has the task to plan funding for any projects to make sure all work is paid for. The Project Management team, while has funding to complete the project, they have a time schedule restraint to keep to. If there are delays, time schedules for completions ae disrupted and puts all behind. This also puts Operations in a dilemma with funding of any program. Both of these departments need to have an understanding of how each other does their jobs.

How these two departments can understand the other is to assist them with the project at hand in their shoes. The department can have the other assist with what is dealt with on their end. Each could have the other work on the day-to-day concerns of the project. Each department will experience the delays, money issues, schedule stoppage due to workers, material delays, shortages, or weather delays that keep the project moving forward. Project Management can learn how funding, time restraints with the project, having the problems of donor contributions or donations and anything doing with money.

Once these two departments have experienced what transpires within there departments, all will have a better understanding on how to proceed.
