My ideal carrer is something in the banking industry, either in operations or fraud. When looking at some management and senior management positions in this field, I saw knoweledge of how to handle a department budget without being irresponsible and I think this course helped me gain a better understanding of just that, and all of the different variables accountants use to come up with these budgets to give to managers. I think that is something I would include in a cover letter, because I think it is important that I hiring manager know that I have gained textbook knoweledge of the managerial side of accounting as I currently do not have any management experience. I think the spreadsheet that we were working on for the whole course was the most helpful, because it felt like it was more real world examples and formulas that every company uses and will indeed be helpful to know whether you are going into managerial accounting or not.
