In September 2019, an Ontario woman sued Zippie's Zipline Park Inc. after breaking her arm as she tried to step onto the platform at the end of her zipline ride. (A "zipline" is a steel cable that runs from one platform to another platform so participants can ride quickly from one platform to the other. Ziplines are often relatively high off the ground ... sometimes they run from one tree to another, or sometimes from one hilltop to another hilltop. At each end there are platforms ... one at the beginning where participants start and one where they finish.)

In court documents, the plaintiff said she visited the zipline park with her young son to try ziplining. She and her son both participated in ziplining at the park.

According to her court filing, the zipline was very fast and when she reached the end and went to step onto the platform, even though two employees were there to help her come to a safe stop, she did not stop and fell forward and broke her arm.

According to the plaintiff, she worked as a swimming instructor at the township's swimming pool and she missed 6 weeks of work because she was unable to swim during the time her arm was healing. She sued fordamages and for lost wages. The lawsuitnamed Zippie's Zipline Park Inc. and two employees in the claim.
