In September 2022, Apple unveiled a new iPhone model, of which Jimin purchased the iPhone 14 Pro Max 512GB Silver model at RM7,299.00. After a week, Jimin decided to sell the iPhone to obtain the exact same model in gold. For RM6,000.00, Jimin offered his best friend Suga the phone. Suga took advantage of the situation by offering RM 5,000 instead, to be paid in cash on delivery, knowing that Jimin was extremely intrigued by the gold colour. Additionally, Suga asked Jimin to deliver the iPhone to his house the following day. Jimin felt a bit disappointed, but he kept quiet. Jimin did not object, so Suga presumed that he was in agreement and proceeded to the automated teller machine (ATM) to withdraw money. However, the following day Jimin sold the iPhone to Jennie, a neighbour whom Jimin has long had a crush, for RM1,000.00. Suga intends to sue Jimin for breach of contract after learning about the situation.
