In summary Kristi Rodger's Ted Talk was about relevance to advertisements. She conducted a hypothesis of creating relevant data, to submit to create more relevant ads that consumers want. Considering her hypothesis and results some implications for marketing managers to improve on ROI for all forms of marketing communications are based on scientific data that is more intricate than the stock market. Personally, I do not believe that it is ethical to collect so much information from consumers through digital media as it invades privacy and becomes more bothersome. As Kristi mentioned in her talk that she kept getting advertisements for shoes she already purchased but also at a discount. I think that digital marketers need to be more intricate about the data and information they do collect to entice consumers. How these ideas affect my decisions on conscious capitalism is by ensuring that I am utilizing the tools that I do have to allow for better results, but collecting information in a way that isn't bothersome nor unethical.
