In terms of culture in an organization, do you think the organization is the only stakeholder that can influence culture? Or do you think that the employees, as stakeholders, can help to modify and change culture -- or do you think that they have to listen to management and leadership only? For example, what if the corporate culture is so locked in a "vacuum" that the company is going downhill in terms of profits and employee retention that someone (besides the leadership) needs to step up and make a change? What would you recommend?

- Culture of an organization depends on a number of factors and varies with a lot more than just policies set by leaders and managers. It is true that managers and leaders lay the foundation of the company culture and implements procedures to run the business which form its culture. But changes in the culture can also come from various factors that affect the running of the business and the operational variations impact the organizational culture. Organizational culture also depends on the nature of the business. For example, some organizations can allow flexible hours or remote working because all their work is done through digital platforms whereas some organizations' business type requires employees to be physically present in the office for work.
- Another factor that can affect the company's culture is dealing with clients and external stakeholders. The clients have their expectations and requirements from the company which makes the company work according to them. The competitors in the market also affect the work culture as the performance, procedures and behaviours will depend on the work to be delivered which can be based on the way the competitors are working. The company also has to mould its policies and way of working based on consumer behaviour and demands. Work culture depends on the output to be derived from the processes and these outputs depend on the consumer expectations which is why the company culture can be impacted by these factors.
- Although the leaders and managers monitor these factors and bring the changes in the culture but the culture and mould itself with the force of other factors without the involvement of any controlling element.
