In the case of a family buying a duplex of flats under one price but the flats are under separate titles. With the intention to use one flat as a main residence and the other to rent out but then instead end up using the non-main residence flat to provide closer living for two ill parents. Would the sale of both flats under one transactional price mean the family gets main residence exemption for the flat that they lived in only or for both flats.
