Fummntal Sptun Figure 3-1 Phom of experimental setup I FDWngmnm To calculate the magnication, you need to screw the rotation knob to make cursor in ME move 1mm in reticle image and write down the angle you rotate in the knob. One circle of the rotation knob has 100 small scales, corresponding to 1mm movement of cursor in ME. The Image in ME a_.|:e: In the above photo. the DMM image shows two rulers. The upper ruler is inside the DMM for measurement. The middle ruler Is the projected image from your optical setup. By moving the vertical cursor line with the knob at the left side of DMM. the real dimension of the projected ruler can be measured. By rotating the knob to move the cursor line from -1mm to 2mm mark of the projected image, the real distance travelled is read from the dial as 155.? unit (where 1 unit a 0.01 mm)
