In the healthcare in America, we are always trying to reduce the cost of medical funds by reducing the budgets for the insurances. Instead, we need to be thinking "outside the box" and trying to make a cheaper place in the medical field just by changing the way medical professionals think. We need to find different alternatives and simpler ways of giving medical care to patients, so in return the healthcare wouldn't need to be as expensive. In the video, there was many different ways to reduce cost in the medical field that seem to be easy fixes and could be done by many medical professionals to reduce costs. Something as simple as changing the surgical claps to regular sterilized binder clips would reduce the cost of a surgery. There needs to be more simpler ways to reduce costs so patients can find better affordable medical care for themselves. Healthcare is complicated today as well, there is always so many "hoops" to jump through just for treatments, procedures, and technology. Machines and technology costs thousands for healthcare organizations but the cost is not necessary sometimes. There are better ways to go about treatments and procedures when more natural remedies can be cheaper and sometimes more healthier for the patients. I believe that there are many alternatives in healthcare in order for the patients to get the best care they possibly can have, but also by being able to afford the medical care for themselves.
