In the past year, a monopoly that is commonly seed has been reported of abusing its power. Google has currently been organizing and producing multiple ads across the internet including social media. While their revenue has gradually been increasing over the years, new evidence coming to light after the instatement of President Biden has shown that Google could have been using personal information. "Amazon, Google, Apple and others have faced antitrust investigations and charges, while regulators have passed new laws to limit social media's harms and some practices such as data collection." (U.S. Accuses Google of Abusing Monopoly in Ad Technology, David McCabe). Google created their monopoly buy purchasing numerous tools such as publishers, techs, also including advertisers. Due to these ads, it sucked money out of the websites they were posted on, yet Google was only shown to purchasing even more tools. However, the antitrust law has put Google in a temporary bind as the law digs deeper into the unlawful ways Google affects other companies across the internet. Though the monopoly has admitted that to slow down they will let off workers, yet they are also being accused of switching that labor to digital intelligence. The case initially started in 2020 but apparently is still on going to the year 2023.

In this case, there is no evidence of a perfect competition since all ads appear to be made by Google everywhere on the internet. As more websites are created that ads can reach, the profit margin has more than likely increased over the years since 2020 when the claims were first made. They appear to be the greatest trademark and accuse anyone of copyrighting however they also seem to be participating in limiting themselves from passing a certain break-even point and since they are being accused of illegally purchasing the tools necessary to create more ads, the monopoly is taking away from its own labor. Though there is a rumor that the only reason Google could fire employees is not so that their profit will decrease but just the opposite. Replacing human labor with AI systems would only increase revenues. This will lower the total cost of purchased resources as well as the quantity of services.

Example:

I agree with you that Google is one of the number one examples of a monopoly. We use Google for everything and do not realize how much of our information is being tracked, traced, and stored by the company. I was born in the era before Google existed, even though I was just a child, my kids that are my age when Google was first created use Google everyday especially for school. They put Bing and AskJeeves out of business very quickly creating a monopoly on the internet search engine sector.
