In the pharmaceutical industry, various legislations apply to the industry. One of these legislations is the Food and Drugs Act, which the Pharmaceutical Drugs Directorate usually applies (PDD) (Government of Canada, 2022). In addition to this Act, Health Canada is responsible for conducting clinical trials to ensure that every drug out there for use in the Canadian market is safe for use (Government of Canada, 2022). These regulations require the company to be sure that the drugs they manufacture are safe for human consumption.
