In the power generation industry, we have peak periods when the grid requires higher supply of electricity to homes and offices. These hours are usually from 8am till about 9pm Monday to Friday and during this period, we try to ensure that all our plants are available and ready to provide extra capacity if demanded by the grid. When possible, we try to schedule planned maintenance of the plant during off peak periods, because we generally have excess capacity to meet any demand. Variation in demand for electricity helps us to have well maintained equipment and reduced equipment failure
