In the project, you should calculate the cooling load for a building in the summer. The building could be one floor of a school, hospital, university, restaurant, residential, commercial etc... The cooling load should be greater than 50 tons of refrigeration. You should ASSUME the building location, the number of people and their activity types inside it, the wall, roof, floor, lights, and equipment specifications. The cooling load should include heat gain from people, equipment, walls, lights, windows, partitions, roof, floor, ventilation, infiltration, etc. (10 marks) 2. You should also, calculate the machine capacity and select your cooling units. (1 marks) 3. You should calculate and draw, depending on your operating system, either the duct sizing and the required fan capacity, calculate the pipe sizing and the required pump capacity. (3 mark)
