In the prosecution of the Defendant (D) for the murder of the Victim (V), the D admits to the killing but argues that it was done in self-defense. To prove that the V started the physical fight which escalated to the killing, D wants to offer evidence that V had committed numerous acts of violence in the months prior to the killing.
