In the video, the ball was thrown across a room in an arc-like motion. Initially the ball accelerates as it is thrown upward. It slowly rises higher, reaching its peak after about two seconds and then starts to slow down and fall back towards the ground again. As it reaches its apex, the ball moves horizontally for a short time before returning to its downward trajectory. During this time, its speed is zero. As it falls back towards the ground it accelerates again but at a slower rate than when it was rst released as gravity has now pulled it back downwards. At the end of its ight, right before hitting the ground, its speed is much slower than at the start indicating that air resistance has acted on the ball signicantly throughout its motion. Once it hit the ground it curved back upwards again before eventually coming to a complete stop. On a motion diagram, this would be represented by an arc with two peaks representing the highest point of its movement. The ball moved horizontally in one steady direction, while its vertical motion changed as it went through its arc as described earlier. Essentially, it followed a parabolic path consisting of two separate parts: (1) ascending from the initial launch point and (2) descending from its peak higher than the point of release until it reached its nal resting place on the ground
