In this activity, you will play the role of the caseworker, and you are responsible for participating in the continuous improvement practices of your organisation. You are required to participate in the meeting with your supervisor and two of your colleagues and contribute towards reviewing the organisation's plans, services, and programs. You are also required to contribute to developing the vicarious trauma policies for your organisation. One of your classmates will act as Supervisor, and two of your classmates will act as your colleagues. The supervisor will ask questions about your personal experiences of vicarious trauma. During the discussion, the first colleague will share his experience of vicarious trauma, on which the second colleague will pass inappropriate comments and upset colleague one. You are required to manage this conflict situation during the meeting and bring both parties to mutual agreement. Your supervisor will not look interested in your suggestions with the policy development, and you are required to convince your supervisor that your suggestions are worth considering.
