• Background
  • Outline an international treaty. List the elements, results, and exceptions of the treaty. Provide a brief explanation of the treaty.
• Policy Memorandum
  • Create a policy memorandum for your supervisor, who is the Chief Policy Analyst for your division. In the policy memorandum, analyze and explain at least one legislative interpretation of the international treaty that aids in the enforcement of the treaty.
  • Use statutory law to argue either for or against the enforcement of the treaty.
  • Be sure to add a footnote to your policy memo that includes the legal research source (e.g., link to the case) and the proper Bluebook citation format (e.g., using the Learning Resources, Bluebook citation resource, and/or Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 7th edition, Chapter 11).
