In this class we have discussed the value of creating a safe and positive environment during the forming stage of team development. Tools provided to team members are not simply items such as technology. I believe tools can also include soft skills that help members to understand what is expected from them such as organization, respect, and a forum to share ideas and differing perspectives. As people are considered a necessary resource, they should be trained and given the tools to be successful.

Many tools strive to help teams achieve their objectives but dont focus on how groups are actually brought together, including finding the right balance of people to accomplish the task at hand. Tomorrows technologies should take the teams whole life cycle into account, especially the formation stage, which research shows is critical for reaching a units full potential (Alonso, 2018, p.96).
