In this laboratory activity you will design a cylindrical capacitor. Working with a set of given design specifications, you will employ the use of MATLAB arrays to determine which of six materials should be used for the dielectric filling in order to (1) minimize the cost and (2) minimize the size of the capacitor. Lab Objectives: Students will be able to correctly apply the textbook equations describing the cylindrical capacitor. Students will understand the differences between concepts of voltage rating, breakdown voltage, and dielectric strength. Students will apply concepts which were learned during Lab 0 to complete a MATLAB script. You have accepted a position of a design engineer with a company producing capacitors, inductors, and other electrical devices. Your first assignment is to design a cylindrical capacitor. The resign requirements are the following: (1) Capacitance 15 pF (2) Working voltage 800V (3) Safety factor 10 (4) The device must fit into a cylindrical casing with inner diameter 2mm and length 20 mm. Assume that the inner conductor has the inner diameter of the casting and the capacitor's length equals the length of the casting. You have at your disposal six dielectric materials that can be used as a filling
