In this scenario, you are working at a private university where many students come from families with access to many resources. The counseling center director has noticed a lot of students getting in trouble for alcohol and drug use and wants to try a new intervention he read about in a recent journal article. The study he sends you was a pilot study with a fairly small sample size conducted with people in prison. The results were measured by interviewing each of the participants who reported they liked the intervention and thought it would help them not use substances in the future.
