In this week's Supplementary Resources is a video I posted by Barbara Kellerman. Dr. Kellerman is research director of the John F. Kennedy School of Government's Center for Public Leadership. (The video is worth your time). She states, "People are not idiots, people know that bad leadership happens, and often, and that it has a significant and inevitably deleterious impact on their lives." She goes on to say, that bad leadership can be either ineffective or unethical or both. She further delineates and describes seven different types of bad leadership: incompetent, rigid, intemperate, callous, corrupt, insular, and evil. Select oneof the aforementioned types of bad leadership (i.e., incompetent, rigid, intemperate, callous, corrupt, insular, and evil) and explain the behavior looks like and JUSTIFY what you believe would be the wide-ranging consequences of its presence in an organization.
