Scenario: A team completes a project, and the team lead invites everyone to celebrate after work on Friday. Everyone thinks it's a great idea, except one team member, an Orthodox Jew. Rather than say anything about Friday night being his Sabbath, the employee doesn't show up to the celebration; the employee assumes the team lead won't understand his religious observance or, even worse, won't care. From the other perspective, the team lead assumes that Friday evening was a good time for everyone.
