PEER 1:

The topics of most interest are Landlord-Tenant Relationship, encompassing aspects of types of leases and Landlord and tenant requirements to have a successful relationship and if needed their rights and processes to defend themselves if a breach in contract. I find this of most interest since I am a homeowner and plan to buy another property to lease. Coming into Business Law with no prior experience or knowledge in the subject, my expectations were low thinking that it was going to deal with mainly laws to protect businesses and not really oriented nor pertained to myself the consumer. I plan to use this information that I have learned to better get ready as a landowner and have a greater understanding of the laws associated to the topic to protect myself and my property.

PEER 2:

The topics I found most interesting were the accounting scandals of all the different companies. It was interesting to read about all the different scandals and how they affected the business and markets. I used to think business law was only there to protect the business. What I didn't realize were all the ways it can protect the employees and consumers. There are multiple laws in place to help take care of all those involved. This information will come in handy in my personal life. I will be sure to keep in mind to read all contracts fully and be aware of what they mean. Along with the ethical decision-making models that will help me make decisions in the future.
