InadequateStaffingAffects Inadequate staffing has affected myself, my organization, and my colleagues, as well as our community. Our issues with inadequate staffing started with the pandemic and we have been trying to recover. Because surgeries have been down, our O.R. staff are often flexed (sent home) with the ability to use PTO or not. The majority of our staff have been taken to 72 hours employees instead of eighty, which does not seem like much of a cut, but in some cases was a big deal to the employee. I have had to adjust my work hours, often being below the typical forty hours I am accustomed to, occasionally not being able to pay my bills on time. Since we cannot
