There are two questions in this assignment:

Q1 - Case Analysis:

The first question is based on the case- 'A Difficult Hiring Decision'.

Managing Talent is one of the core HR challenges. And, selecting the right candidate for a job is of one of more challenging aspects of this work.

Please read the above case (posted with this assignment in Blackboard).

Assume that the bank has hired you as an independent consultant to provide your recommendation as to which of the three candidates they should hire.

Write a short report with your analysis of the candidates, and your recommendation, and submit it in Blackboard.

As a minimum, you should address the following questions:

Overall, what are the pros and cons of each candidate?

What hiring criteria did you use?

How do the three candidates rank against your criteria?

Recommend a selection decision. Who would you hire ... and why?

Who would you not hire ... and why not?

Be detailed, specific and justify your selection decision.

Q2 - Based on what you've learned so far in this course, and your own opinions, what are the advantages and disadvantages of using tests to determine a candidates honesty and integrity? Do such tests work?
