Induced drag, however, is a function of lift being created.Differing from parasite drag,induced drag is highest at slower flight and reduces as airspeed increases.As pilots we articulatethis best when we think about angle of attack or the angular difference between the relative windand the chord line of the airfoil.Because a high AoA or a high pitch of the wing is going tocause that relative wind to strike more surface area, the results are going to be more lift, thusmore induced drag.The inverse is true at a lower AoA where the airflow is faster over the airfoiland the wing is producing less lift which is causing less induced drag
