To practice your document design skills discussed this week as well as your research skills To make numerical data easily accessible and understandable to your readers 1. Research your industry using websites such as careeronestop.org, SCC library databases, glassdoor.com or the Bureau of Labor Statistics. These are very broad instructions, so it is up to you to determine what you specifically want to know more about in your industry. Possible Topics (feel free to come up with your own ideas related to your industry): -Comparing the number of jobs in your industry in three different locations. -Comparing the average salary in your industry in three different locations. -Breaking down the educational background of workers in your industry (pie chart). 2. Save your research: Save the links to the different webpages where you found your information-you will need these for Step #5 of this assignment. 3. Create two charts documenting your industry. To create a chart in Microsoft Word: Click Insert > Chart. Each chart must document a different topic. Each chart must have a minimum of three line items (for example, three states/cities). Include a clear title for each chart. 4. Create one table documenting your industry. Follow these instructions: To create a Table in Microsoft Word: Click Insert > Table > Insert Table. Create a table comparing three cities (or states) (these will be your columns in the table).
