inflation and government policies has almost doubled the cost of fuel so transportation cost have increased proportionally throughout the supply chain aggregately adding substantially to the cost of goods sold, which in all and/or part has to be added to the cost of goods and services. That results in less demand for the product which means less goods and service are required and ultimately less labor and facilities, so as we are now see major companies are announcing closure of stores and layoff.
